Drone blast near US consulate in Erbil injures three

No US-led coalition facilities were hit in the latest attack, an official told Al-Monitor.

A drone armed with explosives lightly injured three civilians in the city of Erbil in the Kurdistan Region of northern Iraq on Wednesday.

A spokesperson for the Kurdistan Regional Government said the blast, which occurred on Pirmam-Erbil road at 9:35 p.m. local time, also damaged civilian vehicles. The injured received medical attention, Rudaw news quoted the region’s health minister as saying.
