Amal Mawloud Bajlan is in charge of the Kurdistan Syndicate of Journalists' office in Khaniqan. She has a degree in business administration and worked as a journalist for the Iraqi daily Al-Ittihad for seven years. She worked as a broadcaster in radio stations affiliated with civil society groups for three years, and for the Voice of Kurdistan Radio. Her media work also include writing investigative reports on political, social and service-based issues. In addition, she writes and lectures on violence against women, honor crimes, women's rights and women in journalism.
