Focus shifts to second Trump-Clinton debate

US voters — and Republican and Democratic party officials — will be closely watching the second presidential debate on Sunday, Oct. 9.

Hurricane Matthew dominated American news late this week, but the squall on voters’ minds wasn’t the one that pounded Florida’s coast, but the approaching second debate between Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump.

No matter the metaphor, conventional wisdom seems to agree on one thing: The pressure system that matters to the 2016 US presidential election is the one on Trump to perform better this time.
