IRGC supports nuclear framework deal

The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps has thrown his support behind Iran's nuclear negotiators and the framework deal announced on April 2, despite expressing doubts about the United States.

The head of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), Gen. Mohammad Ali Jafari, expressed support for the April 2 nuclear framework announcement in Lausanne between Iran and ​the five permanent UN Security Council members plus Germany.

On the sidelines of a ceremony for the IRGC April 7, Jafari said, “In their diplomatic battle, the children of the Iranian Islamic revolution until today have defended the rights of the nation with competence and the Iranian people and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps appreciate the honest efforts of these dear ones and standing up for the red lines that have been determined.”
