Turkey Adjusts its Syria Policy

Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan came to Washington to convince Washington the red line had been crossed in Syria, but he came up short.

The main thing to come out the talks between Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and President Barack Obama in the White House on May 16, in relation to the Syrian crisis, is a recalibration of Ankara’s Syria policy by a US that previously engineered a reconciliation process between Turkey and Israel, and is working to do the same between Ankara and Baghdad.
