The Ministry of Social Affairs in the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) has exerted strenuous effort to pass a law on child protection. After long years of waiting and tenacious work on the part of activists, the focus has finally been turned toward children.

Despite popular and official interest in laws concerning women’s and youth rights and domestic violence, children are still excluded from them.
