Last month, the Israeli Medtech company AIVF made headlines. The developer of an AI-based in vitro fertilization software platform announced it has raised $25 million in a first investment round led by Insight Partners, a New York-based venture capital and private equity firm.
There is a growing interest by Israeli investors and entrepreneurs in this domain. Israel has seen a significant upward trend in IVF treatment, which involves extraction of egg for fertilization before insertion into the patient's uterus. Most patients need to go through more than one treatment cycle before a fertilized egg is implanted.
