Egypt-Kuwait talks address bilateral ties, Arab summit, challenges

Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi recently visited Kuwait where he met with the emir and crown prince to discuss the upcoming Arab League summit in Algeria, as Egypt regains its pivotal regional role.

Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi arrived in Kuwait Feb. 22 where he held talks with Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Crown Prince Sheikh Mishal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, as well as Kuwaiti officials. 

Talks focused on ways to organize a successful Arab League summit in Algeria in the last quarter of 2022, and to boost Egyptian-Kuwaiti ties in all fields, among other issues.
