Lebanon, Yemen and Egypt are the least happy nations in the Middle East and North Africa region, a new ranking shows.
The Middle East and North Africa along with South Asia have been the sole regions where “happiness has fallen at every age,” according to a study released earlier this week by Gallup and its partners, including the UN Sustainable Development Solutions and Oxford Wellbeing Research Center.
The report ranks the three-year averages of happiness in 140 nations around the world between 2021 and 2023 based on life evaluations and various other factors such as GDP per capita, healthy life expectancy, social support, freedom, generosity and perception of corruption.
Israel ranked as the happiest nation in the region, based on the survey.
